How To Have More Success When You Are A New Hunter Looking To Capture Deer

Posted on: 24 October 2018

If you are quite new to the world of hunting deer, there are times when you may struggle to capture your prey. No one wants to spend hours outside hunting with nothing to show for it. If you are having a difficult time and you would like to increase your odds of catching one of these animals and bringing it home as a trophy or for your family to eat, you should try to follow a few extra steps that are useful for most hunters, especially those that are inexperienced.

Use Tree Stand Climbing Sticks and a Tree Chair

Increasing the odds of catching your prey may involve changing the way that you are looking for the deer. Instead of standing on the ground and walking through a specific area while trying to blend in with the trees and leaves, you should try your luck at catching your prey from a much higher view. Sit comfortably on a tree chair while watching for deer and firing your rifle when you see one. The best way to get up and down the tree safely is to purchase tree stand climbing sticks and then install them. After you have installed the climbing sticks on the tree, you can attach the chair to the top of the tree where you will have more of bird's eye view over these animals

Bring the Best Bait With You on Your Hunt

Having the right bait when hunting is a necessity. You need to have something that is going to draw these animals in, getting them to come much closer to you than they might realize. Deer are known for eating various types of nuts and fruits. Instead of using a single piece of fruit or a single type of nut, you can create a blend of nuts and sliced fruits, spreading that mixture around the area where you are hunting to get the deer interested in coming closer to that area for food. Most deer will not be able to resist the temptation of feasting on some of their favorite treats, which would provide you with the perfect opportunity to take your shot from the hunting chair you will sit on at the top of the tree.

If you have recently started hunting and have not had much luck catching your prey, you are probably wondering if there is something that you are doing wrong. While you may not be doing anything wrong in particular, there are different techniques that could work out better for you while you are on your quest to catch some deer. For example, you can install tree stand climbing sticks and attach a chair to a tree to have a much higher view of your prey while you hunt. You should also bring the right bait with you.
